A Clean Energy Reverse Mortgage (Cerm) could be created for any homeowner with a fair amount of home equity and good credit regardless of age. Current reverse mortgages are only available to homeowners over 62 years of age. A CERM could be available for the purchase of solar or other alternative energy products. It could be available to farmers for wind turbines as well as commercial property owners , anyone with equity in their property. It could also be made available for the purchase of plug ins and hybrids, adding automakers  and autoworkers to the list  of those who  would benefit from CERM.
   Modest loans under $50,000 for credit worthy property owners for solar installations  for wind turbines on farms for plug in cars , modest loans that will employ a new generation of green collar workers. Loans with volume discounts which will attract lenders and minimize fees to borrowers.
